Press Release
Brief
Working in PR, my client requested a press release announcing the launch of their new product. Our target journalists already had technical knowledge, so our client outlined the product's key features and we presented them in an easy-to-read-way.
Withings ‘Go’
Nine months after the release of the Pulse OX, Withings is pleased to announce the release of its latest fitness tracker - the Withings Go [£59.99]. With an always-on e-ink multi screen display, this no-frills addition to the range makes tracking your workouts simple. At the touch of a button, users can track steps, distance, running, swimming and sleep - for under £59.99.
Features
Differentiates between activities, including running, walking, swimming and sleeping
Calculates workout-duration and calories burned
Water resistant and automatically tracks when you start swimming
Tracks your light and deep sleep cycles
Adjustable display for varying weather conditions
Performance
The Go’s always-visible e-ink display ensures you can keep track of your activity and progress at a glance. And the device’s button-cell battery operates continuously for up to eight months - so you never have to charge. Your Go also transforms into an analog watch face to tell the time, so it’s the only gadget you’ll need.
Withings Health Mate
Withings Go is fully integrated with the Withings Health Mate app and MyFitnessPal (available on both iOS and Android) so you can set daily, trackable targets to keep you motivated. Keep track of food intake, view daily reports and advice, and follow friends, earn badges, and set smart reminders to reach your goals!
Available in five colors (black, blue, green, red, yellow), the Go can be worn on your wrist, clipped to a belt or keychain, or kept in your pocket.
Withings CEO Cédric Hutchings said in a statement, "Sporting a number of industry firsts, from always-on multiple displays to dynamic activity recognition, we have once again released a product that will make activity tracking accessible for everyone,"
The Go will be available in UK and US stores from March, priced at £59.99.
